Walk This Way- Charity Catwalk
Sunday, December 11 @ 1:00 pm£8.00
Walk This Way – a fashion show making a difference! Moving from Photography Studios to the catwalk for the first time! Featuring amateur models from across the region, this show will include vintage clothing that has been upcycled and repurposed giving it a new lease of life! Collections will also showcase the latest trends in new clothing lines and lingerie ranges.
This catwalk show is being held to raise funds for EDAN Lincs (End Domestic Abuse Now) and women’s aid. So why the two Women’s Charites? Well the fashion photography industry has a bad rep. Hardly a month goes by without a model being abused by a so called “photographer”. It can be an awful place for models. But in reality, the fashion industry is just a microcosm of the real world. Sadly three of the eleven female models have all experienced abuse – sexual, violence or mental in their ordinary lives. That’s over 25%. If that figure is a reflection of society then that’s a huge number of victims, in this country. That is why we have selected Women’s Aid and Edan Lincs for our annual event this year.
Licensed bar and coffee bar open selling selected hot food and snacks.
Ticket holders must be aged 16 years and over. Please bring ID/proof of age
*Please note: Official Photographers will be present throughout so the show will contain flash photography.
